Preparations before installation steel platform :
Layout steel platform according to the drawings placed in the order:
Carefully check the steel platform structural construction drawings and the detailed steel structure drawings to ensure that the node forms (bolted, welded, fully bolted, and mixed bolted and welded) are consistent with the drawings.
Re-inspection of materials upon arrival for the steel platform
According to the provided list of steel platform, check if the quantity is correct.
On-site condition confirmation for the steel platform to install
The installation site is consistent with the sketch? Is the ground flat? Can water, electricity and lighting be used normally? Has the obstacle been cleared? Has the fire escape been left open?Is the auxiliary equipment installed in place? Forklift must be provided for installation.
Technical preparations before hoisting for the steel platform
Determine the hoisting plan for the steel platform
For 10 to 20-ton truck cranes or crawler cranes, the lifting points are generally set at 1/5 to 1/4 of the beam length to prevent local instability of the web
For large-span and heavy I-beams (>50kg/m), double cranes are required for lifting or balance beams should be used.

Temporary stirrups (made of channel steel or Angle steel) should be set up every 4 to 6 meters to prevent lateral instability of the beam.
When the span is greater than 12m or the beam height is greater than 800mm, temporary supports must be set up.
Preparation of connecting plates, bolts and welding materials for the steel platform

Use a total station or a laser plumb Bob to measure the column axis and corbel elevation to the top of the column.
Mark the center line and edge line of the beam on the corbels (with red paint or a marker pen)
2. Place the columns according to the positioning,Put the two H columns in a fixed place.
3.Place the crossbeam.
First, hoist the main beam, place it above the two columns, and align the holes properly . Lock it with screw and nut.
Lift the secondary beam again to form a stable frame for the entire structure.Where there are holes, lock them respectively with screws and nuts. Please note that the screw and nut do not need to be tightened too much in the early stag in order to adjust. Initial twist → re-twist → final twist.
4.Calibration and permanent fixation.
After installation, check if there are any omissions where the screw nuts are not locked
5.Check if the site is leaking. If the factory building is leaking, please pay attention to repairing the house to avoid the materials being corroded by rainwater and affecting it’s service life for the steel platform.
6.Steel plates should be laid after the overall framework is built.After the steel plates are placed, they should be stabilized with self-tapping screws.
7.The final step is to install the guardrail, stairs,lift.
8.No matter what, safety comes first. Please be careful during the installation process.As I-beams are relatively heavy, it is recommended that they be installed by professionals
